Peter McSweeney

Peter McSweeney is a self taught Irish Painter. He works with oil pigments as though he is sculpting with varying hues of blue, green, purple and white in a fiercely energetic way that captures the raging sea off our coast. Rather than being traditional seascapes these paintings are about conveying the constant movement and energy of the elements.

Peter was born in Cork and grew up in Douglas. He graduated from Ballyfermot Senior College in 1999 with a Diploma in Classical Animation. Today he lives and works in his studio in Ballinadee, West Cork.
