Our Featured Artist for January is Gillian Murphy, who is based in Dublin. Her seascapes are inspired by the changeable Irish weather, and particularly by the mercurial moods of the Atlantic Ocean. She captures the raw energy of the wind and waves using a bold technique, with strong textures produced by using both brushes and pallet knives.
