Born and based in Dublin, Gillian is an artist and graphic designer. Her current work is strongly influenced by the Irish landscape with particular interest in the West Coast. Her paintings are inspired by the fickleness of the Irish weather and the mercurial moods of the Atlantic and she constantly strives to capture the raw energy of the waves. Gillian paints mainly in acrylic where a combination of pallet knife and brush result in a loose bold style with a richness of texture.
