Doreen Drennan

Doreen Drennan was born in Achill Island, Co. Mayo and she has been painting the West of Ireland and the Wild Atlantic for over 30 years.She studied the genre of impressionism under the direction of the late Henry Healy R.H.A.at N.C.A.D.but was drawn back to her native West by her passion to paint the wild beauty and the challenge to capture the exquisite fleeting light of the West.

Much of Doreen’s work is painted “en plein air” around the Burren area where she now resides, and her studio at Ardeamush, Lisdoonvarna, Co.Clare is open to visitors.
